Ovìt is situated in Milan city centre, only a few minutes from the Cathedral (Duomo) and the main train stations, giving easy access to Milan’s shops, main tourists attractions, nightlife and public events.

The school provides all facilities, such as spacious classrooms, free internet access and a library.

The idea of the school

The idea of our school was born… on our school desks! Bored of old style teaching, tired of never-ending grammar lessons, surrounded by too many students, we were dreaming of a school where you can feel at home.
That’s it! Who said that learning can’t also be fun?
Ovìt uses modern teaching techniques and lessons are focused on communication and individual students’ priorities, in order to improve their grammar, speaking and understanding of the language in an easy way.

Everyone knows that learning sentences like “the cat is on the table” is no use nowadays. So why not study with real material like newspaper articles, comics, songs, jokes, board games? Who said that learning a language can’t be fun and interesting?

Prices are clear: teaching material is included and there is no extra registration fee. 5. SMALL GROUPS:

if you’ve tried studying in groups of 15 or more students you know how difficult it is to have time to practice. Ovìt has a maximum of 7 students per class (with an average of 4 students), that gives you not only the opportunity to practice, practice and practice even more, but also is a perfect number to create a friendly and multicultural atmosphere.

6. SUITABLE FOR EXAM PREPARATION:

Ovìt couses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: that makes them suitable to prepare for CELI, CILS and PLIDA exams, University admission examinations and A2 level exam for PDS (Permesso di soggiorno). (**)

7. GREEN ATTITUDE:

On April 22nd 2011 Ovìt decided to participate in Earth Day. The 2011 edition had this beautiful theme: to collect one billion “green actions”. Ovìt set up a day without PHOTOCOPIES, using practical activities or reusing old lessons.

our main purpose is to make you learn Italian in a good environment. That’s why Ovìt offers a variety of free extra activities, that will not only broaden your knowledge of Italian language, but will increase your understanding of our country and our wonderful city. Activities are mainly free because spending time with students is not only a way of helping them learn but it also creates international cultural exchanges and enriches both students and teachers. 9. NO STARTING DATES.

We know you want to learn Italian as soon a possible. So why wait a week or two? Except for absolute beginners, in Ovìt you can start your course every Monday. Private lessons can start at any time the student prefer.

10. LANGUAGE THROUGH CULTURE:

we strongly believe that learning vocabulary and grammar is not enough to completely understand a foreign language. That’s why we use a comunicative teaching method that gives you the possibility to learn Italian using real world situation and focusing on the real Italian culture. So why not start right now?
