Welcome to Milan, Welcome to Italy
Milan is one of the largest cities in Italy, located in the plains of Lombardy.
Milan is famous in the world for its fashion, design and industries,
but hides its origins in the silent and narrow central streets, where
you can follow its history from the Celts to the Romans, to the creations of its favourite guest, Leonardo Da Vinci, whose Ultima Cena can be seen in the beautiful complex of Santa Maria delle Grazie, from
Bramante's architectures to the elegant 18th Century buildings.
Milan is also a multicultural city, capital of design and fashion, perfect for shopping as for living a never-ending night, that starts early with the typical "aperitivo" and continues in an incredible variety of pubs, jazz clubs, concerts, theatres and discotheques.
Moreover, its location in the centre of the Po Valley allows day trips to nearby cities of art, such as Bergamo, Mantua, Venice, Bologna, Florence, to the beautiful lakes of Lecco, Como, Iseo, Garda, and the nearby Ligurian Sea, with splendid Genoa. And only 4 hours away from the capital, Rome. |
